Power Source for Long-Life Devices

The Tadiran TLL-5902/T is a 3.6V 1/2 AA lithium thionyl chloride cell rated at 1.1 Ah. It suits equipment that needs a very low self-discharge rate and a stable voltage over years of unattended operation. Typical uses include utility meters, security sensors and industrial data loggers. The wide temperature range of -60°C to +85°C supports outdoor and harsh-environment installations.

Replaces Older Tadiran and Saft Cells

This iXtra series battery is compatible with Tadiran TL-4902, TL-2150, TL-5101, TL-5111 and TL-5902 models. It also cross-references to Saft LS-14250 and LS-14250c, Toshiba ER3v and Sonnenschein SL-350/S, SL-750/S and SL-150/S parts. The jump is worth it when an application demands the higher 1.1 Ah capacity or the 10+ year shelf life quoted for this chemistry. It does not suit designs that require rechargeable cells or continuous currents above 50 mA.

Simple Two-Tab Installation

Spot-welded tabs on both ends allow direct soldering to a PCB without a separate holder. Observe correct polarity and avoid excessive heat during soldering to prevent seal damage. The non-flammable, non-pressurised electrolyte improves safety, but the chemistry is corrosive if the case is breached. Do not attempt to recharge the cell under any circumstances. Buyers who need a rechargeable pack or a higher pulse current than 100 mA should select a different chemistry.
