Compatible iPad models

This stylus works with iPad models released from 2018 to 2026. Supported devices include the 6th through 11th generation iPad, iPad mini 5th and 6th generation, iPad Air 3rd to 5th generation plus M2 and M3 models, iPad Pro 11 inch 1st to 4th generation and iPad Pro 12.9 inch 3rd to 6th generation. It does not work with iPad Pro 12.9 inch 1st and 2nd generation, iPhone, Android or Microsoft devices.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Artists, students and note-takers who want palm rejection and a fine 1.5mm tip on supported iPads will find this pen useful. Buyers who need pressure sensitivity, tilt recognition or shortcut buttons should look elsewhere. Anyone using an iPad Pro 12.9 inch 1st or 2nd generation, an iPhone, an Android tablet or a Microsoft Surface cannot use this stylus.

Installation and common issues

The pen pairs automatically without Bluetooth setup; attach it magnetically to the side of a compatible iPad to store and charge. A quick charge provides long working time. The 1.5mm nib is replaceable when worn. Common issues include attempting to use the pen on unsupported iPad models where it will not function, and losing the small replacement tips if not stored carefully.

Questions about this item

Which iPad models must I already own for this stylus to work?

It works with iPad models released between 2018 and 2025 including the 10th, 9th, 8th and 7th generation iPad, iPad mini 5th and 6th generation, iPad Air 3rd, 4th, 5th, M2 and M3, iPad Pro 11‑inch 1st through 4th generation and iPad Pro 12.9‑inch 3rd through 6th generation.

Will it pair magnetically to an iPad Pro 12.9‑inch 1st or 2nd generation that I keep?

No, the magnetic attachment only works with compatible models from 2018 onward; the 1st and 2nd generation 12.9‑inch iPad Pro are explicitly excluded.

How can I confirm the 1.5 mm nib is registering correctly after I start drawing?

Draw a line on the screen — the 1.5 mm tip should produce a smooth, precise stroke with no lag, offset or broken segments, and the palm‑rejection feature will ignore your resting hand.
