Wide-aperture APS-C zoom

The Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD B070 is a constant-aperture standard zoom for Fujifilm X-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras. It covers a 17-70mm focal range with a 25.5-105mm full-frame equivalent, delivering a 4.1x zoom ratio in a single lens.

Cleaning kit and tripod expand use cases

The bundled optics care and cleaning kit keeps front and rear elements free of dust and smudges, preserving contrast across the 16-element optical design. The 3-section aluminum tripod with 3-way head adds stable support for longer exposures and precise framing at the 70mm end.

Verify mount and close-focus needs

Confirm your camera uses the Fujifilm X mount, as this lens is built exclusively for that system. Check whether the minimum focus distances of .19m at 17mm and .39m at 70mm suit your close-up requirements before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the RXD autofocus motor or VC image stabiliser need servicing after heavy daily use?

The RXD stepping motor and VC mechanism have no user-serviceable parts; only routine cleaning of the front and rear elements is required.

At 70 mm the minimum focus distance is 0.39 m — does that limit close-up work?

At the telephoto end you can focus as close as 15.4 inches, giving a maximum magnification of 1:4.5 for detail shots.

Does the constant f/2.8 aperture cause the barrel to heat up or the VC to whine during all-day shooting?

The lens runs cool and the VC operates silently; no audible noise or noticeable warmth appears during extended use.
