Versatile APS-C zoom kit

This Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens covers a 25.5-105mm equivalent range on FUJIFILM X-mount APS-C cameras. The constant f/2.8 aperture supports low-light shooting and depth-of-field control across the entire zoom. Three aspherical and two low-dispersion elements plus BBAR and fluorine coatings deliver sharp, high-contrast images. The bundle adds a 67mm tulip hood, UV filter, blower, cleaning pen and microfiber cloth.

Constant f/2.8 practical limits

The bright f/2.8 maximum aperture holds from 17mm to 70mm, yet the lens stops down only to f/16, limiting extended exposures in bright conditions without neutral-density filtration. Vibration Compensation steadies handheld shots at slower shutter speeds, though it cannot eliminate subject motion blur. The 67mm filter thread is fixed by the bundle’s included UV filter and hood, so additional front filters require step-up rings or filter removal.

X-mount APS-C coverage decides fit

This lens projects an image circle for APS-C sensors only; it will vignette heavily or require crop mode on full-frame FUJIFILM bodies. The RXD stepping motor provides quiet autofocus for both stills and video, but the mount is exclusive to the X system. Buyers using other mirrorless mounts or needing full-frame coverage must choose a different lens.

Questions about this item

Which bundle version should I pick if I need a UV filter and hood that fit the lens?

This bundle includes a 67 mm UV filter and a matching tulip hood, so the accessories are already sized for the lens front thread.

What does the 25.5-105 mm equivalent range mean on my APS-C body?

On a FUJIFILM X-mount camera the 17-70 mm zoom behaves like a 25.5-105 mm lens on full frame, covering wide-angle to short telephoto.

How does the X-mount connection limit what I can do with this lens?

The lens mounts natively on FUJIFILM X-mount APS-C bodies, giving full electronic communication for autofocus, aperture control and VC stabilisation.
