An 82mm ProOptic filter kit provides protection and creative control right out of the box. A complete cleaning kit keeps the front element and sensors free of dust and smudges during heavy travel use.

Moisture-Resistant Build With Connector Port

Moisture-resistant construction protects internal optics from light rain and humidity encountered on location. Questions about this item

How often should the BBAR-G2 coating on the front element be checked or replaced?

The BBAR-G2 coating is a permanent optical layer bonded to the glass and does not require scheduled replacement; only clean with a blower and microfiber cloth when dust or smudges appear.

At what focal length does the maximum aperture stop widening and stay at f/2.8?

The aperture opens to f/2 at 35 mm and gradually narrows, reaching f/2.8 by 150 mm; beyond that point the lens cannot open wider than f/2.8.

Does the VXD linear motor or moisture-resistant barrel get noticeably warm during hours of continuous video recording?

The VXD motor runs efficiently and the sealed barrel dissipates heat passively, so the lens remains comfortable to hold during extended shooting sessions.
