Versatile 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 zoom for Nikon Z mirrorless cameras with VC stabilisation, VXD autofocus, 1:2 macro at 9.8 inches, plus 67mm filter kit and accessories
The Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD covers an extensive focal span from 50mm to 400mm on full-frame Nikon Z cameras. A single lens handles wide landscapes, distant wildlife and detailed portraits without swapping glass. The variable aperture of f/4.5-6.3 stops down to f/22-32 for depth-of-field control across the range. Photographers who want one optic for diverse scenes will appreciate the flexibility.
Built-in VC image stabilisation reduces motion blur during handheld shooting, especially useful at the long end or in lower light. The VXD linear autofocus motor drives focus quickly and near-silently, aiding discreet work with skittish subjects. Moisture-resistant construction adds reliability when conditions turn damp. A zoom-lock switch prevents unwanted extension while carrying the lens.
The bundle adds a 67mm three-piece filter set, a matching 67mm lens hood and a dedicated cleaning kit. A lens-cap keeper secures the front cap during rapid shooting. Tamron Lens Utility software allows focus-limiter and other customisations for tailored workflow. Buyers needing specialised macro illumination or a tripod collar will need separate accessories.

Screw the filter onto the 67 mm front thread first, then twist the supplied hood over the filter; the step often missed is removing the front cap before threading anything on.
The front element and the 67 mm filters collect dust and moisture; use the included cleaning kit on the glass and replace any filter that shows coating damage or scratches.
At 400 mm the maximum aperture is f/6.3 and the minimum is f/32; stopping down past f/22 typically introduces noticeable diffraction softening.
