Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 camera lens for Nikon

Versatile Zoom Range for Nikon F-Mount

The Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is a fast standard zoom lens designed for Nikon F-mount cameras. It covers a wide-angle to portrait-length focal range of 24 to 70 millimetres with a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8. The optical design includes two extra refractive elements, three low dispersion elements, and four aspherical elements. eBAND and BBAR coatings reduce flare and ghosting while a fluorine coating protects the front element. It suits photographers needing a bright, stabilised zoom for diverse shooting scenarios.

Check Mount Compatibility and Console Needs

Verify that your camera uses the Nikon F-mount before ordering. This is an international version originally intended for sale outside the USA and carries no manufacturer warranty. The lens is compatible with the optional TAP-in Console for firmware updates and focus adjustments. Ensure you have access to this console if you plan to customise autofocus settings or apply future firmware revisions. Moisture-resistant construction supports use in challenging environments.

Stabilisation and Quiet Focus for Handheld Use

Vibration Compensation provides up to five stops of shake correction for sharper handheld images in low light. The Ultrasonic Silent Drive autofocus motor delivers quick, quiet, and precise focusing suitable for both stills and video. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm produces smooth background blur. The lens maintains consistent performance across the zoom range without extending its barrel length. Power draw is minimal, relying solely on the camera body for operation.
