45mm f/1.8 lens with 10-piece kit

The Tamron SP 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD mounts on Nikon F FX-format bodies and offers a slightly wider view than a 50mm standard lens. Its bright f/1.8 maximum aperture suits low-light work and shallow depth of field. The kit bundles the lens with filters, a hood, cleaning tools and a pouch for immediate use.

VC stabilization and quiet USD focus

Vibration Compensation reduces camera shake for steadier handheld shots at slower shutter speeds. The ring-type USD motor drives fast, quiet autofocus while allowing full-time manual override without switching modes. Inner focusing keeps the barrel length constant during operation.

Filters, hood and cleaning accessories included

A 67mm multi-coated filter set supplies UV, circular polariser and FLD filters for protection and creative control. The matching tulip hood blocks stray light to maintain contrast. A blower, cleaning pen, microfibre cloth, starter kit, cap keeper and medium pouch complete the care package.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the Tamron SP 45mm f/1.8 on a Nikon F body without damaging the electronic contacts?

Align the white mounting index on the lens barrel with the camera's dot, insert the bayonet, and rotate clockwise until it clicks; keep the gold contacts clean and avoid forcing the ring.

What routine care does the front fluorine coating and the 67mm filter set need over time?

Blow dust off with the included blower, then wipe gently with the microfiber cloth and cleaning pen; replace the UV or CPL filter if scratches appear on the glass.

At what point does vibration compensation stop being effective during long handheld sessions?

The VC system compensates up to about 3.5 stops; beyond that shutter speed threshold, motion blur from hand shake will reappear even with stabilisation active.
