Targus 23.6" 4Vu Privacy Screen monitor accessory

Fits 23.6" 16:9 widescreen monitors

This Targus 4Vu privacy filter is built for 23.6-inch widescreen LCD monitors with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It narrows the viewing angle to 30 degrees on either side so only the person sitting directly in front can read the screen. The filter also blocks glare and filters blue light to reduce eye strain during long sessions. It is suited for office workers and mobile professionals who handle confidential data in open spaces.

30-degree viewing limit and fixed screen size

The privacy effect works only within a 30-degree cone from centre; anyone beyond that sees a dark, unreadable display. The filter is cut for a single 23.6-inch 16:9 panel, so it will not cover ultrawide, 4:3 or differently sized screens. Brightness is improved by over 12 percent compared with competing filters, but the polariser still reduces overall luminance. No touchscreen or curved-display compatibility is claimed.

Adhesive strips or tab guides for mounting

Installation uses reusable silicon adhesive strips that bond directly to the LCD surface or tab guides that stick to the bezel and let the filter slide on and off. Alignment must be precise; dust or fingerprints trapped under the adhesive create visible bubbles. Removing the strips repeatedly can leave residue that attracts lint. The glossy and matte sides are reversible, but the chosen finish must face outward before final adhesion.
