13.3" 16:10 privacy filter

The Targus 4Vu Privacy Screen fits 13.3 inch widescreen laptops with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It uses vertical blinds to restrict visibility to a 30 degree viewing angle. Onlookers see only a dark screen when looking from the side. The filter also reduces glare and filters blue light to lessen eye strain.

Sustained viewing comfort

The screen maintains its privacy effect continuously without power or software. Blue-light filtering and anti-glare properties work for the entire session. Users can choose between a glossy or matte finish for their preferred clarity. Reusable silicon adhesive strips or tab guides allow the filter to stay fixed or slide on and off as needed.

16:10 aspect-ratio constraint

This model only fits displays with a 13.3 inch diagonal and a 16:10 ratio. Screens with different dimensions or aspect ratios will not align with the 7.05 inch by 11.28 inch filter area. Buyers who need privacy on 16:9 panels, larger diagonals or ultra-wide formats must select a different size. The adhesive strips are reusable but will eventually lose tack after repeated reapplication.

Questions about this item

Does the 4Vu Privacy Screen add noticeable heat or power draw when left on the laptop all day?

No, it is a passive filter with no electronics, so it draws zero power and generates no heat during continuous use.

What must my 13.3" laptop already have for the adhesive strips or tab guides to attach securely?

A flat, clean LCD bezel around the 16:10 display so the reusable silicon strips or slide tabs can bond properly.

Will the 30° viewing limit still work if I keep an older external monitor beside the laptop?

Yes, the filter only narrows angles on the 13.3" panel itself; the external monitor is unaffected and behaves exactly as before.
