Full-size 104-key USB keyboard

The Targus AKB30USZ is a full-size wired keyboard with a 104-key QWERTY layout. It connects through a standard USB port for plug-and-play operation. The black chassis measures 1.30" high, 18.50" wide and 7.30" deep. No palm rest or mouse is included.

Corporate office deployments

This keyboard suits offices that need a uniform, no-frills input device for Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 or 8. It meets corporate IT standards for layout and build quality. Users who want a palm rest, backlighting, programmable keys or a wireless connection should consider other models.

104-key QWERTY layout with USB interface

The deciding specification is the full 104-key layout delivered over a wired USB connection. That combination determines whether the keyboard fits the required desk space, typing feel and legacy OS support without extra drivers or batteries.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Targus AKB30USZ keyboard, and what step do people often miss?

Plug the USB connector into a free port; the driver loads automatically on supported Windows versions. The step users miss is confirming the keyboard appears in Device Manager before assuming it is ready.

What maintenance or replacement will the Targus AKB30USZ need over time?

The membrane switches on the 104 keys are not user-serviceable; when key feel degrades or a key fails, the entire unit is replaced rather than repaired.

What limit appears first during sustained typing on the Targus AKB30USZ?

The fixed 1.30-inch profile and lack of a palm rest mean wrist fatigue typically arrives before any electrical or connectivity limit during long sessions.
