What this privacy filter fits

The Targus ASF156W9USZ is a 15.6-inch widescreen privacy filter built for laptops with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It attaches to screens up to 15.6 inches diagonally and limits the viewing angle to 30 degrees from either side. Transparent material preserves colour accuracy while protecting on-screen data from side glances.

How the bundled options change daily use

Two adhesive strips let you mount the filter quickly and remove it without residue. You can flip the panel to choose a glossy or matte finish depending on ambient light. The surface also filters blue light and cuts screen glare, reducing eye strain during long sessions while keeping the display over 12 percent brighter than competitive solutions.

Where the 30-degree limit matters

The privacy effect works only within the stated 30-degree cone; anyone outside that range sees a darkened screen. It does not block views from directly behind or above the display. The filter adds negligible depth at .00 inches and measures 13.85 by 7.63 inches, so it fits flush on compatible 15.6-inch panels without interfering with webcam placement or lid closure.

Does the filter add noticeable heat or power draw when used all day?
