21.5" Widescreen Privacy Filter

The Targus ASF215W9USZ is a privacy filter built for 21.5 inch widescreen LCD monitors with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It narrows the viewing angle to 30 degrees from centre so onlookers see only a dark screen. The filter suits office workers and mobile professionals who handle confidential data in open environments.

Glare Reduction and Blue Light Filtering

The accessory blocks screen glare to improve comfort during long sessions and filters blue light to help minimise eye strain. It offers over 12 percent more brightness than competitive solutions for clearer visibility. Users can choose between a glossy or matte finish depending on lighting conditions and personal preference.

Simple Installation With Reusable Strips

The filter attaches using reusable silicon adhesive strips or included tab guides that stick to the monitor bezel, allowing the screen to slide on and off easily. It is designed for 21.5 inch 16:9 displays only and will not fit other sizes or aspect ratios. Buyers needing a filter for a different screen dimension should look at another model.

Questions about this item

How long do the reusable silicon adhesive strips last before they need replacing?

The silicon adhesive strips are reusable and designed for repeated attachment and removal; lifespan depends on handling and how often the filter is moved between monitors.

What is the maximum viewing angle before onlookers see a dark screen?

The privacy filter narrows the viewing angle to 30 degrees from either side of centre; beyond that the screen appears dark and unreadable to anyone not directly in front.

Does the filter trap heat against the monitor during all-day use?

The filter is a thin 0.00-inch layer that sits on the screen surface; it does not add measurable insulation or interfere with the monitor’s normal cooling.
