Privacy screen for 21.6-inch monitors

The Targus 4Vu Privacy Screen ASF216W9USZ fits 21.6-inch widescreen displays with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It limits the viewing angle to 30 degrees from either side so on‑screen data stays visible only to the person directly in front of the monitor. The filter also reduces blue light and cuts screen glare for a more comfortable viewing experience. It is TAA compliant for government and enterprise procurement.

Brightness headroom and viewing limits

The filter is over 12 percent brighter than competitive solutions, preserving clarity while the privacy layer is active. Users who need wider viewing angles for collaborative work will find the 30‑degree restriction too narrow. The privacy effect works only when the filter is correctly aligned on a 21.6-inch 16:9 panel; other screen sizes or aspect ratios are not supported.

Reversible finish and reusable mounting

Choose between a glossy or matte surface by flipping the filter to suit ambient lighting and personal preference. Reusable silicon adhesive strips allow quick installation and repositioning without leaving residue. The thin 0.20-inch profile adds minimal depth, and the 0.97-pound weight does not stress the monitor bezel. No external power or software is required.

Questions about this item

Will the 21.6 inch 16:9 privacy screen fit the bezel of the 21.6 inch monitor I already own?

The filter measures 14.02 inches by 20.23 inches and is built for 21.6 inch 16:9 displays; compare those dimensions to your monitor's viewable area to confirm fit.

How can I verify the 30 degree viewing restriction is active once the filter is installed?

View the screen from the side; content should become unreadable beyond 30 degrees from centre while remaining clear when you sit directly in front.

Does the package include both glossy and matte mounting options or do I need to buy extra adhesive strips?

The filter has a glossy side and a matte side and ships with reusable silicon adhesive strips, so no separate mounting supplies are required.
