Universal combination lock

The Targus DEFCON Ultimate cable lock uses a resettable combination mechanism to secure laptops and other portable devices. It attaches to the standard security slot found on most notebooks without requiring a key. The four-dial design lets you set a personal code for quick access. This model is identified by part number ASP96RGL.

Replaces keyed cable locks

Users who lose keys or manage multiple devices can switch to this combination model to avoid key tracking. The jump is worth it when several people share one lock or when a forgotten key would halt work. No key cylinder means one less part to break or misplace.

Holds under daily handling

The steel cable resists cutting attempts during opportunistic theft. The lock body withstands repeated locking cycles in office or travel use. The combination dials retain their setting after frequent rotation. Long-term exposure to bag friction does not degrade the mechanism.
