17-inch laptop sleeve with storage

The Targus CVR217 is a neoprene sleeve designed for laptops with screens up to 17 inches. It includes a main compartment and a front storage section for accessories. A neoprene handle and an Equalizer shoulder strap are supplied for carrying options. The sleeve weighs 0.73 lbs.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Commuters and students who want a lightweight sleeve with organised pockets for cards, pens, keys and files will find this useful. Buyers who need a fully enclosed briefcase or a rigid hard-shell case for heavy impact protection should consider other styles. The slim 4.00 inch depth also limits bulkier chargers or thick documents.

Critical fit specification

The internal cavity accepts devices up to 17 inches diagonally, matching the 17.25 x 13.00 x 4.00 inch exterior envelope. Measure your laptop against those limits before ordering.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the Equalizer strap so the laptop does not slide out?

Thread the strap clips through the D-rings on each side of the sleeve, then adjust the buckle until the pad rests centred on your shoulder; the neoprene handle stays free for quick grab-and-go.

When will the neoprene exterior start to lose its cushioning?

The neoprene shell retains its shock-absorbing feel for years of daily commutes; only heavy abrasion or repeated over-stuffing beyond the 4.00-inch depth noticeably compresses the foam cells.

What is the first thing that stops me from adding more accessories inside?

The 4.00-inch depth and the fixed front organiser panel limit total bulk; once the main 17.25 by 13.00-inch compartment holds a 17-inch laptop plus files, the zipper will not close over extra chargers or thick notebooks.
