Lock slot compatibility

This cable lock is built for devices that have a mini security slot already integrated into the chassis. It attaches directly to that slot without requiring a master key or any additional hardware.

Cable length and construction

The lock provides 6.5 feet of galvanised steel cable that loops around a fixed object to secure the device. A security baseplate is included for anchoring the cable to a desktop surface when a natural anchor point is not available.

Rotating head and weight

A 360° rotating head allows the lock to align with the slot from any angle during attachment. The complete assembly weighs 0.30 lb, adding minimal bulk to a portable setup.

Questions about this item

How does the 6.5 ft cable length work once the lock is attached to a desk?

The 6.5 ft galvanised steel cable loops around a fixed object and connects to the lock body, giving enough reach to secure a laptop to a desk leg or anchor point without strain.

What does the mini slot type mean for compatibility with my laptop?

The lock head fits the mini security slot already built into many slim laptops and tablets, so it engages directly without an adapter.

What does the 2.13 x 80.00 x 0.87 in size tell me about fitting the lock on my device?

The compact lock body measures 2.13 in wide and 0.87 in thick, while the 80 in cable provides the working length, allowing the head to sit flush against slim chassis profiles.
