Compact Silver Docking Station

The Targus DOCK427GL is a portable docking station finished in silver. It connects to a host device through USB-C and provides two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, two HDMI outputs and a Gigabit Ethernet jack. The unit measures 8.0 by 4.3 by 1.1 inches and weighs 0.6 lb. It supports dual displays at 4K resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate.

Broad OS Compatibility with Limited Video Ports

The dock works with Windows, macOS, Android, ChromeOS and Linux systems, making it suitable for users who switch between platforms. It delivers 140W EPR pass-through charging to keep the host laptop powered. Buyers who need more than two external monitors or require video interfaces other than HDMI should consider different products.

Dual 4K HDMI Output Decides Fit

The defining specification is the pair of HDMI ports capable of driving two 4K displays at 60 Hz. If your workflow requires exactly two HDMI-connected screens at that resolution, this dock matches the requirement. If you need a different video connector type or a higher display count, this model will not meet the need.

Questions about this item

Will the two HDMI ports drive dual 4K monitors at 60 Hz from my older laptop that only has USB-C 3.2 Gen 1?

The dock supports dual 4K at 60 Hz, but your host must supply enough video bandwidth; if it only runs USB 3.2 Gen 1 you may be limited to lower resolutions or a single display.

How can I confirm the 140 W EPR pass-through is actually charging my laptop?

Check your laptop's battery indicator — it should show charging at or near the full adapter wattage; the dock's front LED also stays solid when full power is negotiated.

Does the package include a 140 W USB-C power adapter or do I need to buy one separately?

The box contains the dock and a USB-C host cable; a 140 W USB-C power supply is not included and must be purchased separately.
