Universal monitor stand for heavy displays

The Targus PA235U supports an external monitor weighing up to 100 lb while housing a laptop and docking station underneath. Its open architectural design gives quick access to all peripheral ports and drive bays on the laptop. Tool-free assembly makes setup straightforward for office or home workstations.

Two fixed height settings define capacity

The stand offers clearance of 3.75” or 5.75” to accommodate different laptop and docking station thicknesses. At the lower setting, larger port replicators may not fit, while the higher setting provides room for bulkier docking solutions. The slide-out tray eases laptop placement in either configuration.

Weight limit and fixed geometry set practical

The 100 lb rating is the maximum load the structure can bear, so heavier displays exceed its safe capacity. Height cannot be adjusted beyond the two preset positions, limiting flexibility for unusually thick or thin devices. The stand’s footprint suits monitors up to 15.6” wide, and wider screens may overhang.

Questions about this item

Will a 100 lb monitor sit safely on the PA235U alongside my existing laptop and docking station?

Yes, the stand supports an external monitor up to 100 lb while the slide-out tray holds your laptop and docking device beneath it.

How can I confirm the PA235U is set up correctly after tool-free assembly?

The monitor should rest level at either the 3.75" or 5.75" riser height, the tray must slide in and out smoothly, and all laptop ports and drive bays remain fully accessible.

Does the PA235U package include the 15.6" riser parts or do I buy them separately?

The stand ships with both riser heights (3.75" and 5.75") and the slide-out tray; no extra parts are required for assembly.
