Cable Lock for Notebook Security

The Targus PA410C is a cable lock designed to secure notebook computers that have a standard lock slot. It provides a physical deterrent against opportunistic theft in offices, libraries or shared workspaces. Users can set and change their own combination at any time without tools.

Six-Point-Five-Foot Galvanised Steel Cable

The 6.5 ft (2.1 m) cable is made from galvanised steel with a .16 inch (4 mm) diameter, giving enough length to wrap around a desk leg or fixed anchor point. The steel construction resists casual cutting attempts, though determined attackers with heavy tools will defeat most cables of this thickness. The lock head inserts directly into the notebook's security slot.

Ten Thousand Combination Codes

The lock mechanism offers up to 10000 user-settable combinations, reducing the chance of a random guess compared with three-dial alternatives. It suits individuals who want a resettable code without carrying a key. Buyers who need a master-keyed system for IT fleet management or a hardened lock rated for high-risk environments should look elsewhere.
