  • Fits Kensington T-bar lock slots on notebooks
  • 60 ft vinyl-coated galvanized steel cable secures to fixed objects
  • Resettable 4-digit combination offers up to 10000 codes
  • Cut-resistant 0.16 in cable resists physical attacks
  • TAA compliant for government procurement requirements

What it secures

The Targus PA410U is a cut-resistant cable lock built for notebooks equipped with a Kensington T-bar slot. A 6.60 ft galvanised steel cable loops around a fixed anchor point while the patented T-bar head engages the laptop slot. The vinyl coating protects surfaces during daily use.

Who it suits and who it does not

This lock suits professionals who need a keyless, resettable combination for shared or hot-desk environments. It is not for ultra-thin devices that lack a standard T-bar slot, nor for users who require a keyed-alike master-key system across multiple departments.

The deciding specification

The lock uses a user-settable four-digit combination offering up to 10000 unique codes. If your workflow demands a physical key override or a different slot standard, this model will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

What does the 6.60 ft cable length mean when the lock is on my desk?

The 6.60 ft vinyl-coated galvanized steel cable lets you loop the lock around a desk leg or similar anchor and still reach the laptop's slot with slack for positioning.

How does the Kensington T-bar interface affect what I can secure?

The patented T-bar fits standard Kensington lock slots on notebooks, so it works with most laptops that have that rectangular slot.

What does the lock need to attach to the laptop and the anchor point?

It plugs directly into the laptop's Kensington T-bar slot; the 6.60 ft cable loops around any fixed object such as a desk leg or the included security base plate that mounts with adhesive or screws.
