Checkpoint-Friendly 15.6" Backpack

The Targus Spruce EcoSmart backpack fits laptops with screens up to 15.6 inches and uses polyester made from recycled plastic bottles. Nickel-free hardware and recyclable plastic components reinforce the eco-friendly design. A padded back panel and adjustable shoulder straps provide a comfortable fit for daily commuting or business travel. The green interior lining improves visibility of stored items.

Capacity and Organisation

The main compartment measures 10.25 by 14.75 by 1.53 inches, offering space for a laptop and slim documents. Front quick-access pockets, a key clip, pen loops, business-card holder and accessory compartments keep essentials organised. A side water-bottle holder adds convenience, while the overall bag dimensions of 18.75 by 13.00 by 8.25 inches remain compact enough for overhead bins.

Upgrade Considerations

This backpack replaces a basic sleeve or single-strap bag when you need hands-free carry and dedicated organisation for accessories. The checkpoint-friendly layout speeds airport screening without removing the laptop. Buyers who need room for bulky power bricks, multiple large notebooks or overnight clothing will find the slim 1.53-inch laptop-section depth limiting.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.6" laptop compartment still close if I keep my older 13" ultrabook in the same main sleeve?

The main compartment measures 10.25" x 14.75" x 1.53", so a 13" device fits with room to spare and the padded section still zips shut.

How can I confirm the checkpoint-friendly design works at security without removing the laptop?

Open the backpack flat on the belt; the dedicated laptop section lies flat on its own, letting screeners see the 15.6" device clearly through the X-ray.

Does the box include a rain cover or must I buy one separately?

The pack ships with the backpack itself, integrated key clip, water-bottle pocket, MP3 pocket, business-card holder, pen loops and accessory compartments — no rain cover is included.
