Mobile Elite backpack for 15 to 16 inch notebooks

The Targus TBB617GL is a black backpack designed to carry laptops with screens up to 16 inches. It suits daily commuters and frequent flyers who want a single bag for work essentials. Patented checkpoint-friendly construction lets the laptop compartment lie flat for airport screening. The SafePort Sling Protection System cradles the device away from impact zones.

Checkpoint-friendly layout with organised pockets

A dedicated laptop compartment opens flat so security staff can view the device without removing it. Soft-lined eyewear and valuables pocket protects glasses and small electronics from scratches. Front workstation includes a key fob and multiple organiser slots for pens, cables and accessories. Two side zippered pockets hold water bottles or compact umbrellas. Trolley strap secures the bag to rolling luggage handles.

6.87 gallon capacity for daily workloads

The 6.87 gallon volume accommodates a 16 inch laptop, charger, documents and a change of clothes for overnight trips. Multiple interior and exterior pockets distribute weight and keep items findable. Water resistant bottom panel adds protection when the bag rests on wet surfaces. Builders who need capacity for large camera kits or bulky test equipment will find the main compartment restrictive.

Questions about this item

How is the 15 to 16 inch laptop protected inside the main compartment?

A dedicated laptop compartment uses the SafePort Sling Protection System to suspend the device above the bottom panel and shield it from drops and impacts.

What limits how much gear the 6.87 gallon backpack can hold on a long trip?

The interior volume of 6.87 gallons and the external dimensions of 19.3 x 14.2 x 6.7 inches set the hard limit for clothing, accessories and bottles.

The water-resistant bottom and padded shoulder strap are designed for extended carry; no ventilation specs or thermal ratings are published for the back panel.
