Universal USB-C DV4K Docking Station

The Targus Universal DV4K Docking Station connects a single USB-C laptop to multiple peripherals and dual 4K displays. It is built for professionals who need a single-cable workstation setup across Windows, macOS, Android, Chrome OS and Ubuntu systems.

Dual 4K 60 Hz video and 100W power

Two DisplayPort 1.2a and two HDMI 2.0 outputs drive one or two monitors at 4K UHD resolution and 60 Hz refresh. Power Delivery 3.0 supplies up to 100 W to the host laptop, while the included legacy host power kit extends compatibility to devices that cannot charge over USB-C.

USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 bandwidth limits

The single USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port runs at 10 Gbps, while four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports share 5 Gbps bandwidth. A Gigabit Ethernet port and 3.5 mm combo audio jack complete the I/O. Systems without DisplayPort Alt Mode or sufficient USB-C power negotiation will not support video or charging functions.

Questions about this item

Will the dock power and transfer data to my older USB-A 3.0 hard drives and peripherals?

The four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports run at 5 Gbps and are backward-compatible with USB 3.0 and 2.0 devices; one port supports fast charging for phones or tablets.

How do I confirm both external monitors are running at 4K 60 Hz through the HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2a outputs?

Open your OS display settings and verify each monitor is set to 4K resolution at 60 Hz; the dock supports dual 4K UHD at that refresh rate over either video interface.

Does the package include the 100 W USB-C power adapter and a security lock, or must I buy them separately?

The dock ships with its 100 W USB-C power supply and host cable; the integrated lock slot accepts standard Kensington-style locks, which are sold separately.
