17" Voyager EXP Travel Backpack

The Targus Voyager EXP 17" backpack fits laptops from 13" to 17" and tablets in dedicated compartments. Its 7.93 gal volume expands when extra capacity is needed. Five exterior pockets keep accessories organised. A lockable zipper and RFID blocking pocket protect data and belongings. The rugged polyester construction includes a water resistant bottom for durability. Unisex design suits adult travellers and daily commuters.

Carry-on compliant travel design

The backpack meets carry-on size requirements for overhead bins. Checkpoint friendly construction allows the laptop compartment to lay flat during security screening. A trolley strap slides over rolling luggage handles for hands free transport. Padded shoulder straps and a top handle provide comfortable carrying options. The removable strap adds versatility for different travel situations. Water resistant bottom material protects contents from damp surfaces.

Upgrade from basic laptop sleeves

This backpack replaces simple sleeves or non expandable bags that lack organisation and security features. The jump is worth it when you need RFID protection, lockable zippers and a dedicated tablet compartment in one carry on compliant package. It is not for buyers who want more storage than 7.93 gal provides or who need a second separate laptop compartment.

Questions about this item

How do I use the checkpoint-friendly laptop compartment on the TBB664GL without removing my device?

Unzip the dedicated 17-inch laptop section so it lies flat on the X-ray belt; the separate tablet pocket stays closed, and the main compartment does not need to be opened.

Which parts of the Voyager EXP backpack are most likely to need replacement after heavy travel use?

The lockable zipper pulls, the removable shoulder strap clips, and the water-resistant bottom panel see the most wear; all are standard hardware that can be swapped if damaged.

At what point does the 7.93 gal expandable volume hit its practical limit during a long trip?

Once the expansion gusset is fully open the bag reaches carry-on size limits, so additional items force the zipper strain or exceed overhead-bin dimensions.
