Form factor

The TASCAM DR-10L Pro combines a lavalier microphone with an ultra-compact recorder in a wearable, clip-on package. It is built for content creators who need a stealthy, self-contained capture device for video production. The design eliminates wireless coordination issues common at busy events such as weddings or on-location film shoots. It also serves as a reliable backup recorder for existing audio setups.

32-bit float recording

The defining specification is 32-bit float recording with dual AD converter technology. This captures a whisper, a scream and everything in-between with ultra-low noise and no need to set gain levels. It removes the risk of clipped audio or noisy floors during unpredictable dialogue. The recorder also supports MP3 format and microSDXC cards up to 512GB for generous storage.

Sustained operation

Long battery life and the 160cm lavalier cable support extended sessions without interruption. The unit can be controlled wirelessly via an app alongside up to five other recorders, and it supports wireless time code with Atomos products for multi-camera sync. Wired operation avoids the dropouts and frequency conflicts that affect wireless systems over long periods.

Questions about this item

What does the 32-bit float recording mean for my actual audio files?

It captures an extremely wide dynamic range so you can record very quiet and very loud sounds without adjusting gain, preventing clipped or noisy files.

How does the microSDXC card limit of 512GB affect recording time?

A 512GB card provides many hours of recording; exact duration depends on the chosen format and sample rate.

What does the 160 cm cable length mean for where I can place the recorder?

The 160 cm cable lets you clip the recorder to a belt or pocket while the lavalier microphone sits on your lapel or collar.
