Product identity

The Tatazone LSSCOBM58820IC is a 16.4ft COB LED strip light kit that runs on 24 volts and draws 36 watts. It includes the strip, a power supply and an 8.2ft lead wire for indoor use. The strip uses high-density chip-on-board LEDs under a silicone cover for a dotless, uniform glow. It suits home decor, gaming setups, cabinets and desks.

Deciding specification

The strip uses RGB+IC technology so each segment can show a different colour at the same time, enabling chasing and flowing rainbow effects. Standard RGB strips without an IC can only display one colour across the whole length. If you need per-segment animation this kit provides it; if you only want a single static colour the extra control is unnecessary.

Installation and common issues

Strong adhesive tape on the back and the long lead wire make mounting straightforward on clean, dry indoor surfaces. The strip is cuttable at marked points and can be managed via app, IR remote or the inline controller. Common problems are weak adhesion on dusty or textured walls and occasional Bluetooth pairing drops with the Tuya or Smart Life app.

Questions about this item

How does the 36-watt draw translate to brightness on a 16.4-foot run?

The 36 W rating at 24 V powers the full 16.4 ft COB strip, delivering a continuous dotless glow with adjustable brightness from 1 % to 100 %.

What does the Bluetooth app control actually let you change?

The Tuya or Smart Life app provides segmented DIY colour, chasing effects, music-sync modes, dimming and scene memory, all transmitted over Bluetooth.

What surface preparation and clearance does the adhesive tape need?

Clean, dry indoor surfaces work with the pre-applied tape; the 8.2 ft lead from the power supply gives flexibility for outlet placement.
