Visitor Chime for Warehouse Entrances

The Tatco 15300 is a battery-operated arrival chime designed for warehouses and inventory areas where a wired doorbell is impractical. It uses a light-reactive sensor to detect visitors up to 15 ft away and emits a pleasant ding-dong tone to alert staff inside the facility.

Sustained Operation on Battery Power

The unit runs on four AA cells supplying 6 V DC, so there is no mains wiring to install or maintain. Volume is adjustable across high, low and off settings, allowing the chime to remain audible during busy shifts without becoming intrusive during quieter periods.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

With no active cooling or high-draw components, the device produces no measurable heat and operates silently until triggered. The included angle-adjustable mounting bracket supports wall installation with the door open or closed, keeping the sensor aligned for reliable detection.

Questions about this item

How much power does the Tatco 15300 chime draw during continuous operation?

The unit runs on four AA batteries supplying 6 V DC, so there is no mains power draw while it operates all day.

What extra items are needed before the chime will work out of the box?

Four AA batteries are required; the wall-mount bracket and angle-adjustable hardware are already included.

Will the light-reactive sensor still trigger reliably if the doorway has older tinted glass or low-E coating?

The sensor detects changes in ambient light up to 15 ft, so it works with the door open or closed regardless of glass type.
