Portable thermal printer for mobile professionals

The TATTMUSE A285M-PK is a compact receipt printer that weighs 1.5 lb and measures 10.39 in by 3.07 in by 1.77 in. It uses direct thermal technology so no ink or toner is required. The device targets travellers, field staff and small-office users who need to produce documents, invoices or boarding passes away from a desk.

Sustained printing at seven pages per minute

Rated output is 7 pages per minute, a pace the thermal engine maintains without the warm-up cycles of inkjet or laser alternatives. The internal paper bin holds up to 160 sheets, reducing reload frequency during long shifts. Because the printer is inkless, there are no consumables to replace mid-job, keeping throughput steady over extended sessions.

Bluetooth 5.0 and USB-C connectivity limits

Bluetooth 5.0 pairs only with phones and tablets; laptops and desktops must use the USB-C cable with a downloaded driver. The printer accepts thermal media in five widths: 8.5 in, 4.33 in, 3.14 in and 2.08 in, plus A4. Standard copy paper is not supported, so users must stock compatible thermal rolls or sheets.

Questions about this item

How loud is the thermal mechanism and does it get hot during all-day printing?

The thermal print head runs silently with no moving impact parts, and the 1.5 lb chassis stays cool to the touch even after continuous 7 pages-per-minute output.

What must I already own to start printing with the A285M-PK?

You need a Bluetooth 5.0 phone or tablet, or a laptop with a USB-C port and the downloaded driver, plus thermal roll paper in 53 mm, 80 mm, 110 mm, A4 or 8.5 in width.

Will the A285M-PK work alongside my older USB-only receipt printer?

Yes — connect the A285M-PK via USB-C to the same PC while the legacy printer stays on its own USB port; both appear as separate print queues with no driver conflict.
