Dual-band USB 3.0 Wi-Fi adapter with two 5 dBi antennas delivers 867 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, supports Linux kernels up to 6.2 plus Windows 11, and fits Raspberry Pi 2+ and x86 PCs
This USB 3.0 wireless adapter delivers AC1200 dual-band connectivity for Linux and Windows systems. It supports kernels up to 6.2 and a wide range of distributions including Ubuntu 16.04 to 23.04, Debian 8 through 11, Linux Mint 18 to 21, Kali, Raspberry Pi OS and Windows 11 down to 7. Compatible architectures cover x86_64, x86_32, aarch64 and armhf for Raspberry Pi 2 plus and Odroid devices.
The adapter uses a USB 3.0 interface for high-throughput data transfer to the host. Two detachable 5dBi antennas screw onto RP-SMA ports, allowing orientation for best signal or replacement with higher-gain models. The plastic housing is compact enough to sit beside other USB ports without blocking them. No external power supply is required; the device draws all power from the USB bus.
Verify your distribution and kernel version against the supported list; RHEL, CentOS, openSUSE Leap, OpenWrt, Guix, Puppy, Tails, Endless OS, LibreELEC and OSMC are explicitly not supported. Ensure a free USB 3.0 Type-A port is available; the adapter will operate at reduced speed on USB 2.0 ports. Confirm your router broadcasts 5 GHz 802.11ac or 2.4 GHz 802.11n networks to reach the rated 867 Mbps or 300 Mbps link rates.

The adapter delivers up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band, giving a combined AC1200 rating.
Each antenna is a detachable 5 dBi dipole that screws onto the adapter; allow a few centimetres of clearance behind the USB port for them to stand upright.
On supported distributions the driver is in-kernel up to Linux 6.2, so the adapter works after plugging it in; the common mistake is forgetting to attach the antennas before connecting.
