Bronze Weatherproof Cover

The Taymac ML450Z is a one-gang while-in-use weatherproof cover designed for horizontal or vertical mounting. It fits GFCI receptacles and suits outdoor or damp-location installations where a low-profile bronze finish is required. The polycarbonate body and synthetic neoprene rubber construction meet cULus and NEC standards for residential and light-commercial use.

Interface And Orientation Limits

The cover accepts a single gang box with a depth range of 1 in to 3 1/2 in and overall dimensions of 3 5/8 in wide by 5 3/4 in high. It is rated only for GFCI receptacle types and the specified mounting orientations; other receptacle styles or deeper boxes fall outside the listed standard. The attached polyethylene foam gasket seals the perimeter when the lid is closed.

Installation Notes And Common Issues

The unit ships with an attached gasket and mounting hardware for direct fastening to a compatible box. Installers must verify box depth and gang count before mounting, as the cover will not seal on boxes outside the 1 in to 3 1/2 in range. Misalignment of the horizontal or vertical hinge axis is the typical cause of lid binding or incomplete closure.
