Two-gang vertical weatherproof cover with polycarbonate body, quick-fit keyhole mounting and UL listing
The Taymac MM1410G is a polycarbonate weatherproof cover designed for outdoor electrical boxes. It protects receptacles, GFCIs, switches and round devices while they remain in use. The vertical mounting orientation suits standard two-gang installations. This accessory is intended for electricians and homeowners securing exterior power connections against moisture and debris.
The cover body uses polycarbonate material paired with a polyethylene foam gasket to seal the enclosure. An attached gasket and included mounting hardware simplify the installation process. Patented Quick-Fit keyhole mounts and knock-out technology allow custom fitting on site. The unit meets NEC standards and carries a UL listing for code-compliant installations.
This cover replaces broken, brittle or lost two-gang weatherproof covers on existing vertical boxes. The upgrade is worth it when the original lid cracks, the gasket fails or the mounting ears strip out. It is not for single-gang boxes, horizontal orientations or enclosures deeper than the specified 1 1/2 inch cavity. Buyers needing three-gang protection or a different mounting plane should select another model.

Slip the keyhole slots over the mounting screws before tightening them; the step people miss is seating the attached gasket flat against the wall so the cover closes without binding.
Inspect the gasket each season for cracks or compression set; replace it when it no longer springs back, because a degraded gasket lets moisture reach the duplex or GFCI receptacles inside.
The polycarbonate body resists impact, but prolonged UV exposure eventually yellows and embrittles the material, so the cover itself is the first component that will need replacement.
