Two-Gang Weatherproof Cover for Outdoor Wiring

The Taymac MM1410W is a vertical, two-gang weatherproof cover designed to protect duplex receptacles, GFCI outlets and switches in exterior locations. Its polycarbonate body and polyethylene foam gasket seal out moisture while the white finish matches common outdoor surfaces. The unit is UL listed and meets NEC requirements for damp and wet locations.

Quick-Fit Keyhole Mount Simplifies Installation

A patented keyhole mounting system lets the cover hang on installed screws before final tightening, reducing the time spent on a ladder. The base includes patented knock-outs and trade-sizing technology so installers can customise conduit entries without extra adapters. Attached gasket and mounting hardware are included in the box.

Replaces Cracked or Non-Compliant Covers

This cover upgrades older metal or brittle plastic boxes that no longer seal against rain or meet current code. The jump is worth it when an inspection flags an open knock-out, a missing gasket or a cover that cannot accommodate a GFCI device. It is not suited for horizontal mounting or single-gang applications.

Questions about this item

How deep is the Taymac MM1410W cover and will it fit my existing 2-gang box?

The cover depth is 1 1/2 inches and it mounts vertically on a standard 2-gang box with the patented Quick-Fit keyhole slots for easy alignment.

Does the cover get brittle or discolour after months of sun and rain exposure?

The polycarbonate body and polyethylene foam gasket are UV-stabilised and UL listed for wet locations, so the white finish resists yellowing and the seal stays flexible.

What mounting hardware do I need to install this cover on a finished wall?

Mounting hardware is included in the box; the patented knock-out base and trade-size openings let you secure it to the existing box without extra brackets.
