Vertical Weatherproof Cover for Two Gangs

The Taymac MM2410G is a polycarbonate cover designed to protect outdoor receptacles while they remain in use. It fits duplex, GFCI and switch configurations in a vertical two-gang layout. The gray finish suits standard exterior surfaces.

Practical Limits of the cULus Listed Standard

The cover meets NEC and cULus requirements for wet-location use with the attached polyethylene foam gasket. Its patented knock-out and trade technology allow custom fitting to existing boxes. The 3-inch depth accommodates common device profiles without modification.

Replaces Damaged or Non-Compliant Covers

This unit upgrades cracked, faded or non-weatherproof plates that no longer seal against moisture. The key-hole mount simplifies replacement on installed boxes. The jump is worth it when an inspection flags a missing or failed in-use cover.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the vertical or horizontal version for a 2-gang box?

This cover is built for vertical mounting on a 2-gang box; if your installation runs horizontally you would need a different orientation.

What does the 3-inch depth mean once the cover is installed?

The 3-inch depth provides enough interior space for a plug to stay connected while the lid is closed, keeping the connection protected from rain.

How does the cULus listing and NEC compliance cap what I can use this cover for?

The cULus listing and NEC compliance confirm the cover meets the safety standards required for outdoor receptacle locations in the United States and Canada.
