What this cover is for
The Taymac MM410C is a one-gang weatherproof cover designed to protect outdoor receptacles while they remain in use. It mounts horizontally or vertically and fits Decora, GFCI, duplex, toggle-switch and single-receptacle devices. The clear polycarbonate body and polyethylene-foam gasket meet cULus and NEC listing requirements.
Who should buy it and who should not
This cover suits homeowners and electricians who need a single-gang, in-use enclosure for standard North American wiring devices. It is not intended for multi-gang installations, for recessed boxes that exceed its 3-inch depth, or for applications that require a metal housing or a non-clear finish.
How it fits into an installation
The Quick-Fit patented key-hole mount simplifies attachment to an existing box, and the patented knock-out design with Trade Technology allows custom fitting to the device being covered. The cover frees the installer from drilling additional mounting holes and provides a sealed, code-compliant enclosure for the receptacle.

Questions about this item
What type of receptacle must I already have for the MM410C cover to fit?
The cover fits a Decora/GFCI receptacle, a duplex receptacle, a toggle switch or a single receptacle.
Will the 3 in deep cover clear an older shallow box I keep in the wall?
The cover adds 3 in of depth, so the existing box must accommodate that extra space.
How can I confirm the cover is sealed after I mount it?
The polyethylene foam gasket compresses against the mounting surface and the clear polycarbonate body lets you see the seal all around.
