Two-Gang Vertical Weatherproof Cover

The Taymac MM7440G is a two-gang vertical weatherproof cover designed for outdoor electrical installations. It accommodates Decora, GFCI, duplex, toggle switch and single receptacle configurations. The polycarbonate body with a polyethylene foam gasket provides a sealed enclosure while the cover is in use. It is cULus Listed and meets NEC standards for wet locations.

Polycarbonate Construction and Jumbo Depth

The jumbo-size cover offers a depth of 5 1/2 inches, giving ample internal space for wiring devices and plug connections. The gray polycarbonate body resists impact and UV exposure in exterior environments. An attached gasket and included mounting hardware simplify installation on standard vertical boxes. The cover maintains its weatherproof seal while cords remain plugged into the receptacles.

Replaces Standard Flat Covers

This unit upgrades basic flat covers that only protect outlets when not in use. The in-use design keeps the weatherproof seal intact with plugs inserted, making it suitable for holiday lighting, power tools or landscape equipment. It is not suited for horizontal mounting orientations or single-gang box footprints. Buyers needing more than two gangs or a different receptacle layout will require a different cover configuration.

Questions about this item

Will the MM7440G cover fit over the Decora GFCI and toggle switches I already have installed?

Yes, the cover accepts Decora/GFCI receptacles, duplex outlets, toggle switches and single receptacles, so your existing devices will fit behind the polycarbonate lid.

How can I confirm the cover is sealed correctly once mounted?

The attached polyethylene foam gasket compresses against the wall when the cover is screwed down; a uniform gap-free seal around the perimeter shows it is working as intended.
