Quick-Detach Bushing for SK-Series Hubs
The Tb Wood'S SK1716 is a steel quick-detachable bushing designed to mount SK-series sheaves, sprockets or pulleys onto a 1 7/16 inch keyed shaft. It includes three cap screws for a secure, keyless-style lock that simplifies installation and removal during maintenance.
Replaces Press-Fit or Setscrew Bushings
This unit upgrades from interference-fit or single-screw bushings that require heating, hammering or extensive disassembly to change ratios. The tapered split-flange design is worth the switch when frequent ratio changes or shaft inspections are part of the preventive-maintenance schedule.
Steady Torque Transmission Under Continuous Duty
The 3/4 inch-per-foot taper and SAE Grade 5 hardware maintain concentric grip under sustained torque without the fretting or backlash that can develop with setscrew-only connections. The 1.875 inch overall length and 1.375 inch body engage the hub over a broad surface, distributing load evenly during long operating cycles.

It uses a 3.31 in bolt circle with three 5/16-18 x 2 in Grade 5 cap screws.
Which installation step is most often missed when fitting this QD bushing?
Tighten the three cap screws evenly in a star pattern to the recommended torque so the 3/4 in per ft taper seats fully.
When should the key or bushing be inspected or replaced on this unit?
Check the 3/8 in keyway width and 3/16 in keyway height for wear whenever the assembly is disassembled or vibration increases.
