Premium Class Turntable System

The Technics SL-100C is a new premium-class turntable built for listeners who want the feel of legendary direct-drive engineering in a minimalist package. It ships with a dust cover and a pre-installed Audio-Technica VM95C cartridge so you can start playing records immediately. The tonearm height adjusts across a 6 mm range to accept other cartridges for future upgrades.

Coreless Direct Drive Motor

A single-rotor coreless direct-drive brushless DC motor derived from the SL-1200G and SL-1000R models drives the platter without belts or gears. The platter back is fully covered with deadening rubber to suppress unwanted resonance. This motor design delivers smooth, stable rotation for accurate groove tracking.

Auto Lifter Tonearm Operation

When the tonearm reaches the end of a record the Auto Lifter raises the cartridge automatically using a simple mechanical design that avoids motor power. This eliminates electrical and vibrational impact at lift-off, reducing wear on both the stylus and the vinyl. The static-balance S-shape tonearm uses an aluminium die-cast chassis with an ABS and glass-fibre insulator for consistent damping during long listening sessions.
