Targeted Laptop Cooling

The TECKNET FBA_49498 cooling pad fits laptops from 12 to 15.6 inches. Two 110 mm fans pull air from the sides and bottom, pushing a concentrated stream toward the centre where the processor runs hottest. A side-mounted switch lets you dial the speed from silent to maximum depending on the workload.

Metal Mesh Build

A metal mesh top surface adds rigidity while letting air pass freely. The plastic frame keeps the unit light at 798 grams and the slim 1.77 inch profile slides easily into a bag. USB power is drawn from the laptop itself, so no extra wall adapter is required.

Check Before Buying

Verify your laptop footprint sits within the 14.17 by 11.02 inch platform. Ensure a spare USB port is available for the fan cable. The pad is designed for flat-bottomed notebooks; machines with curved or vented undersides may not make full contact with the mesh.

Questions about this item

What USB interface does the cooling pad use and what speed does it limit the fans to?

The pad draws power through a standard USB port; the two 110 mm fans run at the speed set by the side switch, not by the USB version.

What are the exact dimensions and weight so I can check if it fits my bag?

It measures 14.17 in long, 11.02 in wide, 1.77 in high and weighs 798 g.

How do I install it and what step do people miss?

Plug the USB cable into the laptop, place the notebook on the metal mesh, then use the side switch to set fan speed; the step often missed is adjusting that switch instead of leaving it at zero.
