USB-C adapter adds 10/100 Mbps wired Ethernet to laptops without a port, powered by the bus and driverless on Mac, Chrome OS and Windows 10
This USB-C to Ethernet adapter adds a wired 10/100 Mbps network port to specific devices including the 12-inch MacBook, Chromebook Pixel, Lenovo Yoga 900 13-inch, and ASUS Zen AiO. It draws power directly from the USB-C port with no external adapter required and automatically conserves energy when the Ethernet cable is disconnected. The adapter supports IEEE 802.3 and 802.3u standards for 10Base-T and 100Base-T compatibility.
The adapter works driverless on Mac OS X, Chrome OS, Windows 10, 8.1 and 8, while drivers are available for Windows 7, Vista, XP and Linux. It is not suitable for Android devices, as the supplier explicitly advises against that use. Buyers needing Gigabit speeds or compatibility with Android phones or tablets should look at a different adapter.
The single specification that decides suitability is the 10/100 Mbps throughput limit. This adapter cannot deliver Gigabit Ethernet performance, so it is the right part only for users whose network infrastructure or internet connection does not exceed 100 Mbps.

The adapter itself is supplied; no external power adapter is required because it draws power from the USB-C port. You will need your own Ethernet cable to connect to a router or switch.
This single 10/100 Mbps model (30287) is the only version listed and is described as compatible with the 12‑inch MacBook, Chromebook Pixel, Lenovo Yoga 900 13″ and ASUS Zen AiO.
It provides up to 100 Mbps wired throughput over IEEE 802.3u (100Base‑T), which is sufficient for typical file transfers, video conferencing and HD streaming on the supported Mac, Windows, Chrome OS and Linux systems.
