Purpose-built DC supply

The Tekpower TP30SWI delivers a fixed 13.8 V output at up to 30 A, making it suitable for ham and CB radios as well as amplifiers. It runs from a 110 V 60 Hz mains input and includes a front-panel snap-in connector rated for 3 A. The unit weighs 6 lb and measures 7.5 by 2.8 by 7.5 inches.

Capacity and headroom

At full rated load the ripple stays below 80 mV peak-to-peak, and the noise offset knob can further suppress switching artefacts for clean communication use. The 3 A front output is intended for lighter accessories; drawing more than 30 A from the main terminals will exceed the design limit. The supply is not suited for applications requiring adjustable voltage or higher current than 30 A.
