Wide-field eyepiece for deep-sky observers

The Tele Vue 55 mm Plossl provides a 50° apparent field of view through a standard 2" barrel, making it suitable for astronomers who want expansive true-field vistas. Its focal plane sits at the barrel end to minimise vignetting, which benefits Schmidt-Cassegrain users seeking clean, unobstructed star fields.

Two-inch barrel with adjustable eye guard

The 2" diameter fits a wide range of telescope focusers and diagonals without adapters. An adjustable eye guard blocks stray light and adds comfort, while the 38 mm eye relief allows spectacle wearers to view the full field without removing glasses.

Coated optics for bright, high-contrast images

Multi-layer coatings maximise light transmission, delivering brighter stars and sharper planetary detail with minimal glare. The simple four-element Plossl design keeps internal reflections low, so contrast remains high even on extended nebulae and galaxy clusters.
