Tele Vue DeLite 7mm Eyepiece

The Tele Vue DeLite 7mm is a 1.25-inch eyepiece built for amateur and professional astronomers who want high magnification with comfortable viewing. It delivers a 62-degree apparent field for expansive celestial vistas.

Upgrading from narrower Plossl or standard oculars

Moving to this eyepiece adds a 62-degree apparent field and 20mm eye relief in a parfocal 1.25-inch barrel. The jump is worth it when you want immersive, sharp views without giving up compatibility with existing Tele Vue Plossl, Panoptic, Nagler or Delos eyepieces.

7mm focal length for high-power planetary

The 7.0mm focal length provides high magnification for planetary and lunar detail while the 20mm eye relief keeps viewing comfortable for eyeglass wearers. The sliding, locking eyeguard helps maintain optimal eye position. It is not for observers who need focal lengths longer than 7mm for wider-field deep-sky scanning.

Questions about this item

What barrel diameter does the 7mm DeLite need to fit my focuser?

The eyepiece uses a standard 1.25" barrel that slides into any 1.25" focuser or diagonal.

How do I set the sliding, locking eyeguard to the correct height?

Slide the eyeguard up or down until the view is sharp at the edge, then twist the locking ring to hold that position.

Will the rubber eyeguard need replacement after extended use?

The sliding, locking eyeguard is built for long service; if the rubber ever wears, Tele Vue offers replacement eyeguards for the DeLite series.
