The Telemecanique Sensors XS508B1NAL2 is a shielded cylindrical proximity switch designed to detect metal targets at 1.5 mm. It operates on 12 to 24V DC and provides a 3-wire NPN normally-open output rated for 200 mA. The nickel-plated brass housing meets NEMA 4X and IP67 for wash-down environments.

The sensor maintains its 5 000 Hz operating frequency during sustained, rapid target passage without thermal derating.
