Limit Switch Head with Push Roller Plunger

The Telemecanique Sensors ZCE02 limit switch head uses a push roller plunger actuator mounted on the top of the unit. It is designed for momentary operation in machinery and machine shop environments where a compact, omnidirectional actuator is required. The head fits compatible Telemecanique bodies such as the XCKD, XCKP, XCKT and XCMD series.

Actuator Travel and Operating Limits

The actuator provides 0.16 in of travel and requires an operating force of 2.7 in-lb to trigger. It functions across a temperature range of -25 to 70 degrees F. The head carries CCC, CSA, EN 50047, IEC and UL certifications, but it does not carry an IP rating, so ingress protection must be provided by the enclosure or mounting location.

Omnidirectional Movement and Mounting Implications

The omnidirectional movement allows the roller plunger to accept actuation from multiple angles, which simplifies alignment on conveyors, guards or positioning stations. Because the head has no IP rating, it should be installed inside a protected cabinet or sealed housing when exposure to dust, coolant or wash-down is expected. The 1.2 in actuator length gives a modest engagement depth for cam or dog operation.
