Tenda U11 AX900 USB Adapter

The Tenda U11 is a compact USB 2.0 wireless adapter that brings WiFi 6 connectivity to desktop PCs and laptops. It operates on dual bands, delivering up to 600 megabits per second on 5 gigahertz and 286 megabits per second on 2.4 gigahertz. The nano-sized design stays flush with the port for a clean installation.

Best for simple WiFi 6 upgrades

This adapter suits users adding WiFi 6 to a machine with only USB 2.0 ports available. It is not for buyers who need the higher throughput that USB 3.0 or internal PCIe cards can provide. It also does not serve builds requiring external antenna placement for difficult signal environments.

Limited by USB 2.0 interface

The USB 2.0 connection caps real-world speed well below the 900 megabit per second wireless data rate. This single bottleneck decides whether the U11 matches your performance expectations. If your use case demands sustained rates above the bus limit, a different interface is required.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the adapter is running at the 600 Mbps 5 GHz rate after setup?

Check the connection properties in Windows network settings; the link speed should show 600 Mbps when connected to a 5 GHz WiFi 6 network.

What is included in the box and is a driver disc or cable supplied?

The package contains only the Wireless Adapter U11; no driver disc or extension cable is included, drivers download from the Tenda website.

Which version should I choose for a desktop PC with only USB 2.0 ports?

The U11 uses a USB 2.0 interface so it works directly in those ports, delivering up to 286 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 600 Mbps on 5 GHz.
