8.5 in LCD Writing Tablet for Children

The Teriph 8.5 in LCD writing tablet is a reusable drawing board designed for children aged three to eight. It replaces paper and crayons with a pressure-sensitive screen that captures lines from the included marker. The green ABS housing has rounded edges and meets non-toxic, lead-free and BPA-free standards. It suits home, school and travel use where a mess-free creative outlet is wanted.

Eye-Comfort Screen and Battery Life

The display uses a low-energy panel with no backlight and no blue-light emission, reducing eye strain during extended drawing sessions. A single erase button clears the entire surface in one second, while a lock switch prevents accidental deletion of work. Because the screen draws power only when content changes, the internal cell lasts for long periods without replacement.

Included Marker and Lock Feature

The bundle supplies one archival-grade marker that stores in a dedicated slot on the board. The marker tip responds to varying pressure for line-weight control. The lock slider on the rear secures finished drawings until the user chooses to erase, making the tablet practical for notes, spelling practice or game scores that need to stay visible.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the 8.5 in Teriph LCD writing tablet so it is ready to draw on?

Remove the tablet from its packaging, pull out the included marker stylus from its holder, and press the erase button once to clear any factory test marks; the pressure-sensitive screen is then active for immediate drawing.

What part of the Teriph doodle board will need replacing first with daily use by a child?

The marker stylus tip wears down over time; the tablet itself has no consumable screen layer, so only the pen requires occasional replacement.

How long can the 8.5 in green Teriph tablet stay on a single battery charge during continuous drawing?

The low-energy LCD retains the image without power; the internal coin cell only powers the erase function and typically lasts months of regular use before needing a change.
