The HXG-2D detects butane, diesel, gasoline, kerosene, methane and propane with a direct LEL percentage readout on a backlit LCD screen. An adjustable alarm provides immediate notification when gas concentrations exceed the set threshold. This new instrument covers a detection range of 0 to 990 ppm and operates from -4 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. It is suited for HVAC technicians, safety inspectors and maintenance crews requiring portable leak detection.

Verify probe reach and calibration needs

The flexible probe extends 16 inches for access into confined spaces or around equipment. Confirm that this insertion length is sufficient for the ducts, pipes or enclosures you intend to test. A calibration certificate is available separately; decide whether your quality procedures require a certified baseline before the first use. The unit ships new with a two-year manufacturer warranty.

Soft case protects during transport

A soft carrying case is included to shield the detector and 16-inch probe from impact and dust while moving between job sites.
