Manual-aperture 100 mm f/2.8 macro lens achieves 2:1 magnification with 9.72" minimum focus distance, 12 elements in 10 groups and 13-blade diaphragm for full-frame Canon EF cameras
The Laowa 100mm f/2.8 delivers a 2:1 reproduction ratio with a minimum focus distance of 9.72 inches. Its apochromatic design uses 12 elements in 10 groups to minimise chromatic aberration. The 13-blade diaphragm produces smooth circular bokeh. Full-frame coverage allows focus from 2:1 magnification to infinity.
The lens has no electronic contacts, so aperture is set via a physical ring and focus is entirely manual. No autofocus or camera-body aperture control is available. EXIF data will not record lens settings. Users must stop down manually for depth-of-field preview or live-view magnification.
The Canon EF bayonet fits directly onto any compatible body without adapters. The 100mm focal length keeps the front element clear of most camera grips. The manual aperture ring clicks at full stops, reducing accidental shifts. The lens is not suited to photographers who require autofocus or electronic aperture control.

The 100mm focal length gives a longer working distance and covers full frame, while the 60mm is built for closer quarters and smaller sensors.
You can fill the frame with a subject half the size of the sensor, reaching details that standard 1:1 macro lenses cannot.
The aperture ring is manual on the lens barrel, and the mount communicates focus distance for metering while you turn the focus ring yourself.
