31-foot 10 Gbps USB-C tether cable

This 31-foot USB-C to USB-C cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 data rates up to 10 Gbps. It is built for photographers and videographers who need a long, reliable tether between a camera and a computer. The design omits power delivery to prioritise signal integrity over the full length.

10 Gbps ceiling on a 9.4-metre run

USB 3.2 Gen 2 is rated for 10 Gbps, but the specification only guarantees that speed over much shorter passive cables. At 31 feet this cable pushes the practical limit, so actual throughput can fall below the peak if the host controller or device endpoint cannot sustain the rate. No active repeater or optical conversion is mentioned in the data.

Straight connectors, no power cores

Both ends use straight USB-C plugs, which keep the profile low against camera ports and laptop sockets. Removing the power conductors reduces cable bulk and eliminates a common source of voltage negotiation errors during long tether sessions. The jacket is designed for repeated coiling and studio floor traffic.

Questions about this item

Is the 31' length right for my studio layout?

At 31 feet (9.4 m) the cable gives ample reach for tethered shooting without signal loss, letting you move freely around the set while staying connected.

What does the 10 Gb/s rating mean when I am transferring RAW files?

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 link moves large RAW batches at up to 10 Gbps, so high-resolution sequences clear the buffer quickly and keep your workflow moving.

Does the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 interface limit power delivery or video?

This cable carries data only — no power delivery or video — so the full 10 Gbps bandwidth stays dedicated to file transfer.
